Churches, Locations, & Directions

Prior to November 30, 2011, the six Catholic churches in Amador County comprised three separate parishes:  St. Patrick Parish, Immaculate Conception Parish, and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.  By order of Bishop Jaime Soto, Bishop of Sacramento, the three parishes were united into one Catholic community, and we became officially known as St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish.  Altogether, the churches serve over 1,400 Catholic families in the county.

On April 7, 2013, the new parish church, St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Martell, was dedicated after years of planning and months of construction. This church, located at the parish center, can seat 700. The parish center houses facilities for youth and senior activities, a social hall, a commercial kitchen, and numerous meeting rooms, in addition to the parish office.

Administrative matters of all the churches are handled out of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Center.  Call (209) 223-2970, Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Phone calls to the office and in-person visits with staff members are welcome during these hours.

Emails to the parish office are welcome any time, office@amadorcatholic.com.  To contact a priest, please call the Parish Center (209) 223-2970.
